My family and I have been vacationing here since 2007.
We found Cook Riverside by mere accident. {I am so thankful we did!}
Late in the spring of ’07, we were looking for somewhere to go; somewhere close, kid friendly, pet friendly. We did a search and instantly fell in love!
We stayed in Cabin 14. It was perfect for us – then a family of 5. It was such a great time!
Our family grew and we ended up in Cabin 16 two years later. Cabin 16 is our go to cabin. It has a huge porch and it’s a little more private than the cabins close to the Clarion River.
Early this year, the owners reached out to me – they needed updated pics for their site, and I said yes, of course!
My hubby and I made the drive one Wednesday back in April. And I fell in love with these cabins all over again. Each of the cabins {19 of them!!} are unique, warm and inviting {and pet friendly!!!}!
I really can’t say that I have a favorite {ok, maybe Cabin 13}. There is a cabin perfect for everyone. And mean EVERYONE! The cabins can accommodate from 4-12 people. So wherever you are in your season of life, I can guarantee you’ll find a cabin to love!! {some even have hot tubs!!!}
Not only do they have cabins, they offer a cafe, rentals (canoes, kayaks, tubes, and bikes) and an adorable gift shop
{my kids shop here every visit}.
Across the street is the Clarion River. {we love to fish!} You can walk to Cook Forest State Park and hike, hike, hike! Then stop by at the cafe for some ice cream! {yum!}
Honestly, I cannot say enough about this place. It’s our home away from home.
Every single person we’ve met here is so genuine, so eager to help you have the best vacation possible.
And we are especially fond of the owners, Mike and Cheryl McMurray.
We love Cook Riverside and I bet you will too!!
PS- Our favorite place to visit while in Cook Forest is the Double Diamond Deer Ranch. {if I lived closer, I’d ask for a job there!!}
